– Rob Marshall of Topeka, KS never thought chowing down on a Schlotzsky’s
Big League Clubz sandwich would help him score a trip to St. Louis, MO, including airfare, hotel and
$2,000 in spending cash. But as luck would have it, it did.  While dining at his neighborhood Schlotzsky’s
restaurant, the 29-year-old corporate security officer entered the brand’s online and text-to-win sweepstakes
on a whim and wound up hitting a grand slam.
 
“This is the kind of thing you hear about but never think will happen to you!” Marshall exclaimed.  “When I
got the call about winning, I thought it was a joke at first.  I didn’t even pick up the phone until the last ring
because I thought it was a telemarketer.”
 
Marshall is very glad he did, though, and the news that he’d won the grand prize sure had a nice ring to it.  
Thanks to his good fortune, he and a friend got to hop a flight to St. Louis, plop their luggage in a hotel
room, spend some of his $2,000 jackpot and soak up plenty of festivities July 10-14.   
 
While he wasn’t at bat during his vacation, he still plays the Schlotzsky’s baseball game at
www.BigLeagueClubz.com very frequently.  “I’m obsessed with trying to get the highest score,” he
confessed, “but the closest I’ve come so far is getting to 37 points when the top player had 41.”
 
And thanks to the love of his life, Marshall has been a loyal guest ever since meeting his wife and fellow
Schlotzsky’s fan 10 years ago.  “We go there at least three times a month.  I love the bread and the Turkey
Bacon Club sandwich.”
